Entries List

The Entries list displays every participant in the race. You can tap the sort buttons to order the entries by card number, post position/gate or result, odds, AI Rating, or Speed Rating. Tap the arrow to the left to toggle between ascending and descending order.

Tap the star icon to add an entry to the favorites page, and long-press the star to remove it from favorites.

Swipe right on an entry to track or untrack the horse, jockey, or trainer - they will then appear in the favorites page whenever they race.

Entries are automatically removed from the favorites page when the race date is older than yesterday.

Horse

The dashes under each horse name provide a quick visual cue to its past performances. Up to six dashes appear, representing up to six past performances with the most recent result on the right. The colors indicate the finishing position in those races, with the following meanings:

Blue - 1st
Red - 2nd
Amber - 3rd
Gray - 4th or later position, or did not finish the race

This same color-coding is used throughout the app.

Colored letters may appear to the right of the horse name. The colours indicate the best finishing position and the letters have the following meanings:

BF - Beaten favorite in last race
C - Has previously raced at the same course/track as today's race
D - Has previously raced at the same distance as today's race
G - Has previously raced on the same surface going as today's race
CD - Has previously raced at both the same course/track and distance as today's race

So for example, a red D would indicate the horse has raced at the same distance as today's race and was placed second.

AI Rating

The AI Ratings are calculated from a dataset of over 30 million past performances, utilizing a combination of modern and established techniques, including some similar to those devised by Bill Benter - widely regarded as the most successful gambler of all time.

They represent the percentage probability that the horse will win the race, so an AI rating of 59 means a 59% probability of winning the race.

Once odds for a race become available, the AI Ratings are partially recalculated in real-time when the odds change.

Ratings displayed in gold represent optimal advantage ratings, indicating the most favorable opportunities. Ratings shown in silver have slightly less advantage than the gold ratings but still offer a significant edge.

Speed Rating

The Speed Ratings are calculated using a method similar to Andrew Beyer's Speed Figures, but are uniquely global, allowing for the comparison of thoroughbred racehorse performances worldwide.

Speed Ratings displayed in gold represent the highest ratings in a given race. Ratings shown in silver are the next best in that race.

Value & Odds

Once available, live odds for each race are displayed from both the US and UK betting markets, providing a unique multi-regional perspective from both bookmakers and the betting public.

The odds are color-coded to indicate changes with the following meanings:

Green - shortened odds
Amber - lengthened odds
Red - odds that have lengthened twice or more.

Value odds are the minimum odds that represent value relative to the AI Rating. They are highlighted in gold when the live odds for the upper toggled region offer value.

You can tap the icon under the odds to toggle between US and UK odds for sorting purposes, and to view the odds history and value odds indication for each region.
